Mark Montrose specializes in electromagnetic compatibility and industrial product safety with over 43 years of experience within the field of applied EMC. He is a professional trainer, consultant, systems designer and product engineer in addition to being an assessed EMC test laboratory. Mark has held management positions in both Regulatory Compliance and Engineering Services throughout his career. Professional experience includes design, test and certification of Information Technology as well as Industrial, Scientific and Medical Equipment regardless of application or environment of us. He specializes in achieving EMC compliance along with registration for both the European Union and Korea using the Technical File route. This level of certification is in addition to performing safety assessment to SEMI and CE requirements for industrial products with third-party professional engineers. Significant aspects of Mark’s professional career and experience are listed below:
- Utilizes physics based approach to identify the actual source of undesired RF energy creation and propagation at both printed circuit board and system level.
- Consulting at the printed circuit board and component level, as well as system integration to achieve EMC both emissions and immunity.
- Testing, troubleshooting and debugging difficult EMC problems either in-house or at an EMC facility of your choosing.
- Assessed EMC test laboratory to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for industrial products wishing to enter the European, Korean and International market using the Technical File route.
- Both iNARTE (Exemplar Global) EMC Test Engineer and iNARTE (Exemplar Global) Master EMC Design Engineer.
- Past member of the IEEE EMC Society Board of Directors (18-years).
- Past member of the IEEE Board of Directors – Division VI Director (2009-2010).
- Founder and First President of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society.
- Internationally recognized expert in EMC as well as author of five textbooks with numerous international translations.
